So after shooting a couple of long exposures on the trail, I decided to take some exposures back home, especially with the Perseid Meteor showers peaking on August 13th! Unfortunately, my unwillingness to wake up at 3/4 A.M. and inclement whether meant I never got any good shots of the showers. Nonetheless, I returned for the past few nights to take some nice long exposures around the house! They came out fairly nice, with minimal light pollution, and fantastic color - hope you enjoy!

Some flowers on my deck.

Facing North.

Cassiopeia is one of the only constellations I can really identify outside of the Big and Little Dippers and Orion and that belt of his; it’s that distinctive “W” made up of 5 stars, and is located just above Perseus, where the Perseid Meteors generally originate from.

This is one of my favorite shots, taken from our pergola.

Hope you enjoyed these!
